Sea kayaking, canoeing and wilderness first aid instruction
From our Lake Superior Paddling Centre, we offer certified sea kayak instruction and certified canoe instruction, as well as a sea kayak guides’ course and wilderness first aid.
Beginner to expert paddlers will appreciate our unique site on Lake Superior. Sheltered, flatwater on the Michipicoten River lies directly adjacent to the big water of Lake Superior where wind, waves and current create advanced conditions. Our canoe instruction program includes short shuttles to nearby rapids for moving water training; and our experiential learning-based sea kayak guides’ course includes a four-day wilderness trip.
Each year we recruit Canada’s finest paddlers to instruct our courses, and all of Naturally Superior Adventures’ staff is trained and certified by Paddle Canada and the Association of Eastern Canadian Sea Kayak Outfitters.
Sea Kayak Instruction: Learn to sea kayak. Beginner to advanced courses with optional Paddle Canada certifications. We also offer instructor courses.
Sea Kayak Guides' Course: A leadership course designed for those who want to learn the skills to guide commercial trips or organize trips with friends.
Canoe Instruction: Learn to canoe. Flatwater, whitewater and instructors' courses.
Wilderness Medical Associates Wilderness First Aid Instruction: We host WMA's Advanced Wilderness First Aid course. It's an industry standard for wilderness guides and a great course for anyone who spends time in the outdoors.
