Naturally Superior Adventures' Destinations Superior are designed for capable intermediate to advanced paddlers with some wilderness camping experience. We've divided the entire Canadian Lake Superior coastline from Pigeon River to Sault Ste. Marie into 7 one week sections allowing you the opportunity to trace the whole coast all at once or over a number of seasons, however you wish. Enjoy a 10% total discount when doing trips back to back in the same season.
These trips are fully guided by skilled and knowledgeable guides and include safety gear( expedition first aid kit, VHF radio, signaling devices), group camping gear (tarp, group sanitation, water filtration, maps), park fees and applicable vehicle and tug boat shuttles.
With Destinations Superior trips, you choose between packing and preparing your own meals on trip or take advantage of hearty meals prepared by your guide(s). Participants trypically provide their own expedition suitable sea kayak and tent although there are readily available as trip rentals.
You are responsible for the rest; food, cooking equipment, eatlery, expedition kayak, tent, sleeping bag and mat plus personal gear.Participants
Guide guest ratio is 1:6 and for intimacy, and minimal environmental impact, group sizes typically range from 2 – 7 guests. We practice low impact camping.
Lead guides are certified with Wilderness Advanced first aid (min 40 hrs) and are equipped with an expedition first aid kit, signal and communication systems.
