Why should you choose Naturally Superior Adventures to supply your vacation or instruction?
That’s a great question- and we just thought you might feel better about your decision if you knew a few things about us.
- We’ve been in business since 1994 so we aren’t some fly-by-night company that just decided that we should offer some paddling trips and instruction on Lake Superior.
- We are incorporated so that means; real business, real insurance.
- We live and work on Lake Superior- so even when our guides aren’t out guiding on Lake Superior- they are living and playing on Lake Superior and as a result know more about this lake that most people do. We know her moods, how fast bad weather can come in and the power of her fury. We also know a few secret camping spots and a lot of the great folk lore tales that this area holds.
- All of our instructors are certified by Paddle Canada at a minimum of Level I Instructor. But did you know that we have a few instructors who also have BCU (British Canoe Union) and ACA (American Canoe Association) certification? We have the ability to offer a certified course in any of the three disciplines. Our instructors/guides are all certified in Advanced Wilderness First Aid (40 hour course).
- Our Naturally Superior Adventures Paddling Centre and lodge is located with Lake Superior on one side and the Michipicoten River on the other. For your trip, this means, that most of our trips start and/or end here so we have lots of options to change routes, equipment and shuttles if something comes up (weather, injury etc). For your instruction this means; nice calm, warm bay of the river for novice instruction; Lake Superior and the river current for intermediate instruction; surf conditions for advanced instruction. Logistically; almost zero drive time from being on the water to when the lunch bell rings (= more time for playing in boats).
- We not a multinational corporation. Not that you can’t get great service from a big company but we’d like to think we’re still small enough to know who you are.
